Michael Whittington is the CFO of Premier Health and Convenient Care, L.L.C., the parent company of Lake After Hours/Total Occupational Medicine. Michael has over 22 years of healthcare management experience, including experience as the Director of Finance for a $50 million regional office of a publicly traded healthcare company and the Clinic Administrator for a sixteen-physician, multi-specialty satellite clinic. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and is a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael is also an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Michael is a native of Covington, Louisiana.
Steve Sellars is the CEO of Premier Health. Steve has more than 23 years of healthcare management experience, including eight years in the managed care industry and five years with one of the largest health systems in the Gulf South. Steve has worked exclusively in urgent care management since 2004, with a background that includes significant executive management experience with physician groups, hospitals, health plans, and other healthcare professionals. In addition, Steve has extensive experience in joint-venture development, practice management, site selection and practice expansion, managed care contract negotiations, and strategic planning. Steve is President-Elect of the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA), Chairman of the UCAOA Education Committee, Vice-Chair of the Baton Rouge Primary Care Collaborative, and a Board member for a multi-site rehabilitation company. He is an adjunct faculty member at Our Lady of the Lake College and a member of the Medical Group Management Association. Steve received his bachelor’s and M.B.A. from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
